Boil a large pan of salted water. Cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions in the boiling water until cooked through and al dente. Once cooked drain and set aside 1/4 cup of pasta water.
In a large pan place your olive oil and heat using a low-medium heat. Then add your sliced garlic and cook until fragrant and very lightly golden. Don’t cook the garlic for too long as it can turn bitter. Stir in your chilli flakes and cook for a few seconds.
Add your cooked (drained) spaghetti and stir to fully coat in the garlic oil. Add some of your pasta water to help create a light creamy sauce. Then add your chopped parsley and stir. Season with salt.
