The list includes Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, who dethroned Bill Gates in 2018, and Elon Musk in 2022.

These lists do not include tyrants or members of the royal family whose riches derives from their status. This ranking is an index of the wealthiest people who have been officially documented; it does not include any ranking of wealthy people whose wealth cannot be conclusively determined.

    Born in 1949, Bernard Jean Étienne Arnault is a French businessman, investor, and art. The world's largest luxury goods company, LVMH, is led by its founder, who also serves as chairman and CEO. According to Forbes, Arnault has an estimated net worth of US$194 billion as of July 2024, making him the third richest person in the world.
