Have you noticed something different about the internet lately? It seems like every website wants to use a new method for logging in. Websites are concerned about security, and that’s understandable. Sites get hacked, accounts get hacked, and companies want to protect their users. However, some of us have used strong passwords for years without having a problem.
For some people, using a passkey is easier. It may already be set up on your device, allowing you to log in with your fingerprint or another method of unlocking your device. The problem is that a website may not always recognize the passkey you already have set up.
In my opinion, passkeys are one of the best ways to log in because they can make the process easier while providing strong security. Your fingerprint is not simply a password that someone can copy and type into a website. Instead, your device uses it to verify your identity.
However, I think too much security can sometimes work against us. You can end up locked out of your own account, even when you are the rightful owner. Sometimes, the process becomes so complicated and stressful that you wonder whether you will ever be able to log in again.
Security is important, but shouldn’t it also be easy for people to access their own accounts? In my opinion, protecting users should not mean making things so difficult that users cannot get in themselves.
Phone

What do you think? Has logging in to websites become more complicated than it used to be?
In my opinion, I think logging in has become complicated. Being sent to your phone might be another issue. What if you don’t have your phone or your phone is not working properly? Then what? You can’t get to your from the website that is sent.
