Iran is paying attention to the US Election Midterms:
Americans have “said NO TO WAR,” said Iran’s top negotiator in talks with the US as President Donald Trump’s Republican Party suffered a stunning defeat in the midterm elections.
“We endorse this message," parliament speaker Mohammed Bagher Ghalibaf wrote on X.
He warned: “If the US [government] betrays their public will to serve international paymasters and blackmailers, it will learn our NO comes with a Nightmare.

Trump acknowledged on Tuesday that the poor results for Republican congressional candidates were partly due to the war and the related surge in petrol prices. But he insisted that he did not regret launching a joint attack with Israel on Iran in February.
Iran's Supreme Leader said he did not expect US policy to change after the results.
If the [U.S. government] betrays its public will for the sake of international paymasters and blackmailers, it will learn our NO comes with a Nightmare.
The X account of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei posted: "The process of the US's collapse has accelerated."

“If there are still people who have the slightest hope that the hegemonic system may change its behavior or changes in its political parties may bring change, or that by making concessions to the US, they can persuade it to abandon its hostility, they are greatly mistaken,” the account said.
Last Saturday, Khamenei had called for Tehran's armed forces to meet "any level or type of threat" with "an immediate, impactful, and geographically unrestricted response."
The Iran war has emerged as a key issue for voters in the midterms after U.S. President Donald Trump launched joint strikes with Israel against the Islamic Republic in February. The fighting has pushed up energy prices across the United States, stoking fears about the cost of living.

Trump is also partly blaming the Iran war for the Democratic sweep of both chambers of Congress. Asked by the Wall Street Journal whether the war contributed to the Republicans' losses, Trump said: “Iran was a piece of it.”
However, he maintains that prosecuting the war was the right decision, saying, "I don't think about it. I did the right thing. I would have done it again."
Washington has not explicitly stated it plans to resume attacks on Iran, but reports from The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times indicate the U.S. is preparing for possible renewed military actions after the midterm elections.
With their new majorities telling Trump to end conflict with Iran if Congress does not authorize it, Democrats may be able to push through a War Powers Resolution.
