Introduction
Special Khajoor Dessert is a delightful, healthy, and easy no-cook dessert that is popular in many households. It is light, refreshing, and packed with natural energy. This sweet treat is made from dates, bananas, orange juice, honey, and coconut. Dates give natural sweetness, bananas add creaminess, while orange juice gives a tangy twist. The best part is you can use your favourite fruit juice instead of orange juice, like mango or apple juice, as per your taste. For presentation, you can use both traditional wooden bamboo skewers and modern colourful popsicle sticks.
Ingredients

- 12 Dates (khajoor) - pitted, seeds removed
- 1 Cup Orange juice - fresh or tetra pack
- 2 Tbsp Honey OR Melted Butter
- 2 Bananas - cut into thick pieces
- 1/2 Cup Desiccated coconut
- 6 Bamboo Skewers OR Colourful Popsicle Sticks
Method

Step 1: Soak the Dates
Wash the dates and remove the seeds. Pour 1 cup of orange juice in a bowl. Add all the dates and soak them for 2 to 3 hours in the fridge. This will make the dates soft and juicy.
Step 2: Prepare the Honey / Butter Glaze
After 2 hours, take the dates out. In the leftover orange juice, add 2 tablespoons of honey OR 2 tablespoons of melted butter and mix it well. If you don't have honey, you can use melted butter.
Step 3: Assemble the Sticks
Take a bamboo skewer or a colourful popsicle stick. Popsicle sticks are safer for children. Insert one piece of banana and one date alternately on the stick. Prepare all 6 sticks in the same way.
Step 4: Garnish and Chill
Place all sticks on a white plate. Brush the honey-or-butter glaze on each stick. Then sprinkle desiccated coconut from the top. Put the plate in the fridge for 10 minutes. Serve chilled.
