1. Recitation of Surah Al-Baqarah (To Drive Away Satan)
The most powerful spiritual protection for a home is the regular recitation of Surah Al-Baqarah.
Hadith: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Do not turn your houses into graveyards (by not praying or reciting Quran in them). Indeed, Satan flees from the house in which Surah Al-Baqarah is recited."

2. The Last Two Verses of Surah Al-Baqarah
Reciting the final two verses (Amanar-Rasulu...) safeguards the household from evil forces.
Hadith: Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
"Allah wrote a Book two thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth, and He sent down two verses from it to conclude Surah Al-Baqarah. If they are recited in a house for three nights, Satan will not come near it."

3. Mentioning Allah's Name Upon Entering the House
Mentioning Allah's name denies Satan and his helpers any shelter or food inside your home.
Hadith: Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (R.A) reported that he heard the Prophet ﷺ saying:
"When a person enters his house and mentions the name of Allah upon entering and before eating, Satan says (to his followers): 'You have no place to spend the night and no evening meal.' But if he enters without mentioning the name of Allah, Satan says: 'You have found a place to spend the night.'"

4. Closing Doors and Mentioning "Bismillah" at Night
This is a physical and spiritual safety measure taught by the Prophet ﷺ to secure the house before sleeping.
Hadith: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Close your doors and mention Allah's name (say Bismillah), for Satan does not open a closed door. Cover your utensils and mention Allah's name, and extinguish your lamps."

5. The Supplication for Leaving the House
When you read this supplication upon leaving, angels take charge of protecting you and your home while you are away.
The Dua:
Bismillahi tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah
(In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah; there is no might or power except with Allah.)
Hadith: The Prophet ﷺ said that whoever says this when leaving their house, it is said to him (by an angel): "You have been guided, defended, and protected," and the devils distance themselves from him.
